Hazen Bruce Douglas, husband of the late Mary (Reed) Douglas, of Browns Flat, NB passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1920 in New Jerusalem, NB he was the son of the late Bruce and Margaret Douglas. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by his sister Mildred Short. Hazen was a Cabinet Maker and a Master Carpenter.
He is survived by his son Bruce Douglas (Donna) of Browns Flat, NB; two nieces Verna Mott (Irvine) and Emma Thibault (George); special friend Rose Linton and his canine companion Tyke; several great nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery, with a reception at the Legion Branch 87, Central Greenwich at 4 p.m.
