The McCutcheon Family of Clones

Glaud (Claudius)and Catherine left thier home in Fintona, Co. Tyrone, Ireland in 1841 accompanied by their sons Glaud and John and daughter Catherine, they arrived in Saint John that same year. Son William emigrated to Canada in 1938.

In 1841 Glaud (Claudius) received a grant of land from the Crown for 100 acres in Clones, Parish of Petersville, Queens County (Wilderness lot # 79) on what was later to become known as the McCutcheon Road. This lot was next to William's ( lot # 78). Eighty (80) acres of lot 79 was willed to son Claudius, later sold to Harry Polley. The remaining 20 acres were willed to son William.
William's land remained in the McCutcheon family until sold by Isaac McCutcheon to Eric and Hilda Boucher (1940's)

Glaud died March 1856 at the age of 84 years and his wife Catherine died 1875 at the age of 89 years.

Glaud and Catherine had 6 children:

1: Claudius(Glaud) ( 1815 - 189?) m. 1850, Mary Elder / children were: Catherine, William, and John.

2: William (1816 - Aug.22, 1920) m.1) 1853, Rachel Elder, children were: Glaud Thomas, David J.,William J., and Easter Jane.
    m.2) 1864, Lucinda (Sydney) Boyle* children were: Lydia (Anna), Isaac Albert, (Below) and Margret
    m.3) 1871, Rebeca Ann Boyle* children were: James A., Emma E., Edward B., Ida May, and Mary Ella.
    * Sydney and Rebeca were daughters of John and Ann Boyle of Clones

3: Catherine (1819- 1895) m. 1843, John Magee / children were: William, John, James, Thomas, Catherine, Luweza, Elizabeth, Jane M.,and Mary Ann

4: John (1821 - 19__) m. / children were: Joseph, Edward, and Margret

5: James

6: Easter
