This list combines in alpha order, both the teachers who came from other areas to teach in one of the community schools and those born in one of the communities within the Base Gagetown area. You will find a listing of the teachers who taught in the various community schools, linked from the community pages.

DeLONG, W.B.  - Taught at the North Clones School for the 1883 April 30 - 1884 April 30, the 1885 Dec 31, and for the 1889 Oct 31 terms. He was at the Summer Hill School for the 1st Term 1886.

DeROW, Macia - taught at the South Clones School in 1886 and 1887.

DONALD, Lillian - taught at the Summer Hill School for the Sep 1946 to Jun 1949 terms & at the Armstrongs Corner School in 1951.

DOUGAN E. Mabel taught at the West Jerusalem School for the term 1898-1899

DOUGLAS, Annie -  taught at the North Clones School for the 1932 Dec - 1934 Jun terms.
    Annie was the d/o William Hartley Douglas & h/w Margaret Bates. She was born 9 May 1910, in New Jerusalem. She m. Carman Hosack, and resides in Carleton County, NB.

DOUGLAS, Hannah - d/o Joseph Robert Douglas and Susan Melinda Barnett, She was b. 8 Apr 1878 in New Jerusalem. She died 9 Feb 1951 at her residence, 62 Elgin Street, Saint John, and is buried there in the Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. She m. 30 Oct 1901 to Joseph Johnson, and they moved to Saint John upon their marriage.
    She taught at the South Clones School in 1896, and both terms of 1897, and at the North Clones School for the 1898 Dec - 1899 Dec terms.

DUNN,  Evaline R. - taught at the Upper Hibernia School in 1933-1934 and at Dunns Corner School for the Jan 1935 - Jun 1936 terms, and the Sep 1948 - Jun 1953 terms. She also taught at the Summer Hill School for the Sep to Dec 1940 term, & the Armstrongs Corner School 1942-1944

DUNN, Jenette - taught at the Upper Hibernia School in 1936.

DUNN, Phebe A. - d/o James Dunn and [Margaret or Elizabeth McLaughlin]. She m. Edward Dell Vallis.

EDGAR, Dora - taught at Coote Hill School for the 1934-1937 terms.

ELDER, Edith - d/o John Dell Elder and his wife, Annie E. Vallis. Edith lived in New Jerusalem until her m. to William McCallum when they resided first in Clones and later at Hoyt.
    She taught at the North Clones School for the 1926 Dec term.

ELDER, Florence - taught at Coote Hill School for the 1931 term, and taught at North Clones School for the 1932 Jun term.
    She was the d/o John Dell Elder and his wife, Annie E. Vallis. She m. Angus J. Urquhart and res. in Taymouth, NB. 

ERCHIAGEN, Mary - taught at the North Clones School for the 1922 Dec term

FERGUSON, Mary - taught at the Dunns Corner School for the Summer 1883 - Summer 1884 terms.

FERGUSON, Harry A. - taught at Coote Hill School for the 1882-1883 terms.

FERRIS, Bernice - taught at the North Clones School for the 1941 Dec - 1942 Jun terms. 
    Bernice is the daughter of Reade W. Ferris (of Jemseg) and Nellie Rankine (from Red Bank). She entered nursing at the Saint John General Hospital in 1942 to 1945, and worked there and other Saint John hospital, then married in April 1946, to Raymond Osborne, (of Gagetown) and moved there in 1951. After the death of her husband in 1969 she returned to Saint John where she became the administrator of Dufferin Hall, Home for Aged People. She remained in this position for the next 18 years. She remarried  to a long time friend James R. Piers (of Hampton) in 1987 and resided on the Kingston Pensulia. After his death she moved to Fredericton where she now resides (Data from her only daughter Linda (Osborne) Scott, who lived in Welsford and Brown's Flats for years and taught school at Welsford for 27 years as Linda Eastwood. I was married in 1973  to William Eastwood of Hoyt and had one daughter Letisha who now lives on Baffin Island. I was remarried in 2001 to Alvin Scott (of Boisetown) and live in Saint John.)

FULTON, Doris E. - d/o J. Judson Fulton and his wife, Margaret Belyea. Doris m. Oliver Dunn. 
    She taught at the North Clones School for the 1935 Jun term, and taught at the West Jerusalem School for the term 1937-1938. She was at the Dunns Corner School for the Sep 1938 - Dec 1938 terms, and at the Coote Hill School for the 1939 June, 1940 Jun, 1942 Dec terms; and from 1945 Dec - 1947 terms under her married name of Doris Dunn.

FULTON, Elsie B. - d/o J. Judson Fulton and his wife, Margaret Belyea. Elsie m. Stanley Pevlin, of Hibernia.. They lived at Glenwood and had no issue. She taught at the Upper Hibernia School in 1935, 1937-1939, and at Dunns Corner School for the Sep 1940 - Jun 1941 terms.

FULTON, Sadie J. - d/o John Calhoun Fulton and his wife, Annie Amelia Lloyd. Sadie m. Ellsworth Scott. 
    She is listed in the 1901 Petersville Parish census as Sarah J., b. 06 Aug 1881, in New Brunswick, aged 19 yrs, a teacher, and a Presbyterian. She was listed in the same parish census for 1891 as 10 yrs of age.
    She taught (as Sarah Fulton) at the South Clones School in 1902 and in 1903, and  taught at the West Jerusalem School for the term 1903-1903, and at the Summer Hill School for the 1st Term 1909.

GAMMON, Muriel - taught at the North Clones School for the 1907 June term.

GARDINER, Robertson Merritt - He taught at the Summer Hill School for the Summer 1879 term. 
    He m. Gelina Alma Parker, and one of his children was b. in Gagetown in 1886.

GIGGEY, Edith M. - d/o Lawson Giggey and his wife Frances Inch. She taught in the Summer Hill School for the 1st Term 1911, and at the South Clones School in both terms of 1904 and 1905.

INCH - George - s/o John Inch and Jane Porter of (Peak of the Grant) New Jerusalem. George became a teacher at the Normal School in Fredericton.

INCH - Hilda - d/o W.Teed Inch (1863-1926) and his wife Bertha G. Webb. She m. McLean Sharp, of Youngs Cove. 
    According to the Petersville Parish Census records (1891 & 1901) she was b. 25 Feb 1890 in New Brunswick, and was named Ina Hilda (aged 1 in 1891, Free Baptist; and 11 in 1901, a Methodist)

INCH - James Robert (BA, MA, LlD) - s/o Nathaniel Inch, Sr. and Ann Armstrong, of Ireland and New Jerusalem. He was born in New Jerusalem, and m. Mary Alice Dunn of Keswick, York Co, NB. 
    They resided in Sackville for 18 years, while he was employed as a teacher at Mount Allison University. They then removed to Fredericton, York Co, when he became Chief Superintendent of Education.

INCH - Rheta - d/o W.Teed Inch (1863-1926) and his wife Bertha G. Webb. She was unmarried and for many years taught Home Economics at the Saint John Vocational School, on Douglas Avenue, retiring sometime after 1953.
    She is listed in the 1901 Petersville Parish census, as Rheta Marion, aged 9 yrs, b. 18 Feb 1892, in New Brunswick.

INCH - Rhoda G. - d/o Percy A. Inch and his wife C. Grace Short. Rhoda became a teacher, and was a missionary in India. She taught at the West Jerusalem School for the terms 1945-1945 & 1946-1946
    In a Baptist Journal (see below*) - - -  RHODA INCH - New Jerusalem, NB - Saved at 19 - Graduate, Teacher's College, Fredericton, NB - Graduate, Atlantic Bible Instute, Hampton Station, NB - 1 1/2 teaching in rural schools - Sunday school and young people's work. (*Only reference I found on this clipping was - Overseas Missionary Fellowship, 33 Chancery Lane, Singapore II, Asia)

INCH - Sadie - d/o Nathaniel Inch, Jr. and his wife, Annie Smith, She went overseas in WWI, and later moved to the USA. She was b. 29 Jul 1881, poss. at Wirral (Book 4 - 1, p.116 #4180 PANB Reg. of Births)

KERR, William - taught at the Summer Hill School for 1st Term 1893 and for the 2nd Term 1907 and the 1st Term 1908; at the South Clones School in both terms of 1894, and in the second term of 1908 and the first term of 1909; at the Dunns Corner School for the Winter and Summer 1895 terms. He also taught at the North Clones School for the 1896 - 1897 Jun, and back in 1909 Dec - 1910 Jun term; and at the Dunns Corner School for the Jan to Jun 1905 term, and for the Jan to Jun 1905 term, and by the Jan 1914 - Jun 1914 he was back at the this school.

    She is listed in the 1901 Petersville Parish Census as Annie Isabella, aged 21 yrs, b. 22-Mar-1870, in New Brunswick. She was the daughter of John Leonard, b. in Ireland - a storekeeper, and his wife, Jane [---] who was b. in New Brunswick.
