as Wilford, aged 29 years, a Teacher, Common School. His father
is listed as a Clergyman of the Free Baptist Church.

from Ireland in 1818. The 1871 Petersville Parish census lists him as MACHUM,
Alexander / M / 57 yrs / b. NB / FC Baptist / Irish / School Teacher /
Married. He was the father of James Alexander Machum hereafter listed.
Alexander is still listed as a Teacher of the Common
School in the 1891 census of Petersville Parish. He was aged 71 yrs, and
a Free Baptist.
Alexander was b. in Saint John 5 Sep 1819, and d.
in New Jerusalem 29 Mar 1897. He was m. twice. First to Elizabeth Frances
Inch (d. 1891 aged 61 yrs) and second to her older sister Ann Inch. Both
daughters of Nathaniel Inch, Sr. and his wife Ann Armstrong.
He taught at the West Jerusalem School for
the term 1885-1887.

b. NB / Church of England / Teacher Common School.
She taught in the Summer Hill School for
the Winter and Summer terms of 1884, and at the Coote Hill School
for the 1890-1891 terms.
MAHOOD, Florence - taught at the Coote Hill School for
the June 1903 term, and at the West Jerusalem School for the term

MAHOOD, Samuel -
Samuel m.1) Clarissa Riecker and m.2) Hannah
(Short) Sharp. He d. 1873 aged 73 yrs. He was a surveyor and school teacher,
and lived on the corner in Jerusalem, which became known as Mahood's Corner,
later Shorts Corner, then Barnett's Corner.

MOORE, David - was b. about 1800 (60-1861) in Ireland, and arrived
in Canada ca. 1824/5.
The family is believed to have first settled in
St Martins, Saint John County. David eventually settled in the area of
Hamilton Mountain.
He m. Nancy Campbell (58-1861) He d. on 24 Feb 1883,
aged 83 years, and she on 8 Nov 1869, aged 65 yrs. Both are buried in the
Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

believed he settled in New Jerusalem ca. 1824/9. He was a teacher. David
died in 24 Feb 1883, and was buried in the Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
